Located off Interstate 40 and the iconic Route 66 in Northern Arizona near Winslow, Meteor Crater is the unbelievable result of a collision between an asteroid traveling 26,000 miles per hour and our planet approximately 50,000 years ago. The spectacular result is a collision that rocked the American Southwest with the energy of more than 20 million tons of TNT and can be explored with your own eyes just outside the Discovery Center. And great news, there is an RV park near by! Get ready to stargaze!
