The holiday’s are for cheer and what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by turning your space into a winter wonderland? Whether you’re in a compact Class C or a luxury Class A, these simple ideas will turn your RV into a cozy, festive space for the holiday season. Be the envy of every camper with these practical and inexpensive ways to decorate your RV campsite this Christmas.
DECORATING THE EXTERIOR OF YOUR RV 101
When tackling decorating the exterior of your RV, start with what you have. String lights around the frame of your RV or better yet, if you’re RVing with a group this holiday season, string your Christmas lights from one RV to the other. This will create a cozy ambiance and a winter wonderland all at once. Make sure you have extension cords and lots of string lights so you don’t run out.
BRING YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE OUTSIDE
If you want to be the talk of the RV park, set up your Christmas tree outside or better yet, pick up a second one so you can have one indoor and one outdoor. To keep your wallet happy, we suggest skipping the ornaments and bulbs and opt to use candy canes for your tree decorations. Then string some twinkle lights, add a bow on top and voila! You’ve created a beautiful and inexpensive Christmas scene that everyone can enjoy.
FESTIVE HOLIDAY MATS
Head to Target for all your holiday floor mats. Ranging between $10 – $15 a piece, these outdoor RV mats are practical, offer an easy way to make your campground a little more festive and don’t break the bank.
Wreaths are festive and beautiful, and incredibly easy to assemble to your RV door. Either purchase a wreath hanger or go the DIY route by attaching your wreath with string. You can also make your own wreath this holiday season. Gather greenery and twigs from your travels to assemble your very own wreath! It makes for a fitting and affordable family activity.
The easiest way to make your table festive this season is to add color! Grab a vase and add fresh or faux flowers as the centerpiece. Candles are also an excellent addition to any holiday table, especially while camping. We also suggest finding holiday cloth napkins. That way they can be reused year after year. If you’re a Christmas Story fan, you can always add an iconic leg lamp to your holiday decorations!
INDOOR HOLIDAY DECORATIONS

From garland to small Christmas trees, this amazing festive RV camper and even fake snow, there are endless opportunities to sprinkle holiday cheer through out your home on wheels.
